It's easy to purchase an item as a guest, but you don't get all the benefits of being an Up4Sale member. With your Up4Sale account you'll be able to track of all your buying and selling activity, send messages to other members, save your favourite stores and items that you consider buying.
If you register for a full Up4Sale account, you can:
- Access your full order details
- Bid on auction-style listings
- Make an offer on listings
- Ask the seller questions related to the item for sale
- Leave feedback
- View replies to your messages and offers
- Manage and track orders
- Access Up4Sale community resources, such as discussion boards and forums
To open an Up4Sale account, you’ll need just your email address. To open a business account, you need a bit more information, including your business name, the logo for your business, and address.

If you have a Facebook or Google account, you can use it to create an Up4Sale account. How to do it?
- On the Up4Sale registration page, select Continue with Facebook or Continue with Google.
- Sign into your Facebook or Google account.
- Allow Up4Sale to access your public profile and email address.
- Confirm your email address you want to use for your Up4Sale account.
- Select Create account.
- We use this information to create an account for you, and send you an email confirming your account details.
Create a business account
If you're thinking about selling your items on Up4Sale, New Zealand's best auction and classified website, you can choose between a personal or business account, depending on how much you're planning on selling.
If you plan to sell casually, like selling on FREE auctions items you no longer want, a personal account is the best option. You can sell up to 10 items in a private account or a business account, without opening a store. If you want to sell large quantities, or if you have items that you've made or bought to resell, register a business account. Just remember, you might be audited by the tax authorities if you operate as a business. It is your sole responsibility to find out if you have additional tax obligations. For a business account we need some additional details, like your business name, logo, and address.

Opening a second Up4Sale account
You can open more than one Up4Sale account as long as you use different email addresses and usernames for each additional account.
All you need to do is sign out of the account you're currently using, go to the Up4Sale Registration page, and follow the instructions above to create a new account. Be aware that you can't use more than one account for activity related to the same listing. For example, you can't bid on the same item from multiple accounts, or bid on an item you're selling from another account. This activity violates our terms and conditions and we reserve the right to remove both of your account and forfeit your fees if we discover such deceptive activity.
