Buying limits and restrictions
To make sure buyers don't bid on, or buy fraudulently, we occasionally place limits on a member's buying activity. We may also restrict buying if we believe a member has violated our policies.
If necessary, we may place a buying limit or restriction on an account. A buying limit prevents you from buying any more items until you complete your current purchases and orders.
A restriction prevents you from buying anything, and is usually due to a possible Up4Sale policy violation.
If we've placed a restriction on your account, we'll have sent you an email explaining why, and what steps you can take to have it removed. This is to encourage responsible buying, and keep Up4Sale New Zealand auctions and classifieds marketplace a safe shopping website for buyers and sellers.
If your buying activities have been limited, it may be because you new to the site, and are making a lot of purchases or buying expensive items, you suddenly and significantly increased your bidding or buying activity, or you have an excessive number of unpaid items or canceled orders on your account
The best way to avoid buyer restrictions is to pay your purchases on a timely manner and discuss any outstanding matters with the sellers via the messages board. you can also improve your feedback profile by paying promptly and leaving feedback for sellers.
